MONTHLY INSPECTIONS
We will visually inspect the fire extinguisher to ensure the extinguisher is fully charged, the seals are not broken, the discharge outlet is not blocked and the operating instructions are clearly visible.

ANNUAL INSPECTIONS
Every fire extinguisher must undergo annual inspection and possible maintenance. We will visually inspect that your fire extinguisher has correct pressure. We will also ensure that it has the correct amount of extinguishing agent. We will confirm that there are no external visual discrepancies such as tampering. If your extinguisher needs maintenance or a replacement, we will provide you with everything you need. Your extinguisher will be certified and up to code.

6 YEAR MAINTENANCE
Stored pressure fire extinguishers need appropriate maintenance every six years. We will discharge the extinguisher and conduct a thorough internal examination. We will disassemble, clean, lubricate parts, recharge and certify your fire extinguisher. If fire extinguishers are found to need corrective action, we will replace the necessary parts or the extinguisher before certifying it.

12 YEAR HYDRO TEST
Stored pressure fire extinguishers require a hydrostatic test every twelve years. This includes a visual inspection (internal and external). The extinguisher is discharged. Then the cylinder is tested according to manufacturer’s test pressure requirements. This is to ensure that the integrity of the cylinder is not compromised. Then the extinguisher will be recharged and certified. For some classes of extinguishers, this service is required every five years.
